Is Eelam becoming too costly for Tamils?

Since 1983 Tamils have allowed this monster called Prabhakaran to evolve without any democratic resistance despite callous murders of all their opponents. They (the affluent Tamils) winked and nudged at LTTE atrocities in hope of getting an Eelam at any cost hoping that they would be able to dispose of Prabhakaran after they achieve it.

Little they knew that he had comprehensive plans to take a good grip of these terror financiers (Tamil diaspora) to achieve his personal glory at their expense. Only when the grip got tighter (i.e. too excessive to bear by today’s economics) that they sought to expose to the crimes of these LTTE foot soldiers now.

Let’s think about the issue this way. Had those amounts demanded today by the LTTE from the Tamil diaspora were little lower and affordable, would they have cried foul? In retrospect should we, the victims of LTTE terrorism, acknowledge them as heroes for exposing the LTTE after all these years?

Give me a break, had the ransom being affordable they would still continue to finance their Eelam. Is Eelam becoming too expensive now?
